This razor seemed very utilitarian when I first looked at it. The weight seemed daunting when I picked it up. When I did get to use it, the control was surprisingly effortless. The balance between the scales and blade is very complementary which makes it pleasant and very controllable to wield. The brushed finish is a nice touch. It seems to give the blade a warm, comfortable visual. The carbon fiber scales are nice looking and virtually indestructible so easy to care for. All in all my first shave with this knife was top notch, effortless, smooth and injury free. Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this razor to other experienced SE shavers.
