I have a couple of these pens in different colours and I'm happy to say that this nib is smooth like butter on my Rhodia notebook. The size, shape, and weight of the pen fit like a glove in my hand, so to speak. I got this one as the discount was too good to pass up. My only minor complaint is that the two ink cartridges normally included were missing. However, given that I don't normally use cartridges and for the steep discount for the pen I'm willing to let that go.
