The 1923 shaving soap was born from the idea of accompanying the presentation of the Extrò T Ultra Benz razor, produced in the 1930s by the Bolognese inventor Paolo Baenzinger.
The completely handmade production of the 1923 shaving soap is enriched with goat’s milk, cocoa butter, shea butter, calendula oil, and glycerin. The fragrance of the 1923 shaving soap is inspired by early 20th-century scents, chiaroscuro of chypre notes that take their name from Chypre, created in 1917 by the Frenchman Francois Coty.
Characterized by citrusy top notes, combined with floral notes, usually of rose, base of musk and patchouly, they were then skillfully taken up by the Paglieri company, which in 1923 produced the Felce Azzurra perfume, among the first Italian products to challenge the myth of French perfumery.
Compared to the original production, the prevalence of chypre notes has been reduced for the 1923 shaving soap, enhancing the fougere component, more modern and fresh, making 1923 a unisex fragrance for all seasons.
